I finished the Messenger Bag and it turned out pretty good. The pattern suggests using canvas (and some fusible interfacing). I was skeptical but thought I should give it a try. I think I will stick with heavy fusible or fusible fleece. The canvas, while basted on to the fabric, still wiggled around and didn't lay flat. I also think I would like it better with a bit more stability to it.
I ended up using the green with teal dots. Tough call. Thanks everyone who gave their 2 cents. I like hearing from you!
