Super Tote Class

We are very excited to schedule a second go around class of the Super Tote bag - an amazing pattern by Noodlehead. This class will be taught by the lovely Nicke of Kiss Kiss Quilt She has made many of these bags and will be a super teacher.

This tote features a zipper to keep all your treasures secure. Never done a zipper? Don't let a zipper keep you from taking this class. Its your time to tackle zippers! Trust me, they aren't as scary as you think.

This bag has lots of pockets: interior pockets, front exterior pocket

You will also learn how to make piping and pleat details
This bag would be a great diaper bag or gym bag, and everything you need bag.

Call (208-423-5092) or drop by the shop to sign up and reserve your spot.

When
Sept 28 10-5

Cost
$15 class fee plus pattern and materials

Briar Rose Tumbler Quilt

I finally took pictures of our August /September window and the projects that were made for it.

I picked up a fat quarter bundle of Briar Rose at Quilt Market in the Spring and finished it in time for when our shipment arrived.

I used our giant die cutter and quickly turned out tumblers from the Briar Rose and some coordinating solids.

Tumbler blocks are so easy to put together. I needed it to be a bit wider so I added a thin light grey border and then a strawberry print border to the sides.

The headboard got a bit of decorating too. As some of you have heard,  I have a wee problem with doilies. As in I buy them whenever I see them and have boxes. I love when I can think of a new idea for them. I lightly hooped them in embroidery hoops. They can be taken out and used again when I take down the window.

I added a few faux apple branches with the hoops. I may have to recreate this in my own room.

I had a few leftover tumblers so I made a pillow. And of course a matching pillowcase.

Big thanks to Amy for quilting this lovely. She did a small all over loopy scribble.

We are waving goodbye to summer here (finally, it was a hot one). Goodbye peonies and forsythia.
And we are getting excited about our Fall/Halloween windows. Each of us has made a fun quilt and we are working on a few other showstoppers. Our Halloween window is my favorite window all year.

Baby Rainbow Quilt

As usual Pinterest lead me down the "Make It Now!" path. Anyone else been there? I typed baby quilt in the search box and found this quilt. Sadly, no tutorial or pattern but I had to make it.

It was so fast and easy. I love it! I am thinking of writing up a tutorial in case anyone else wants to make one.

Also, I put a bunch of fun fat quarter bundles in our Etsy shop.
