Bosal Batting

Some of you may know this already but I wanted to shout it out, "The Quilt Barn is now a Bosal Distributor. We think this is pretty exciting news.  Let me tell you a bit about this batting:

Bosal is a made in the US product.
It is a high quality batting that we have competitively priced (even priced against box store coupons).
It comes in poly, 80/20, and all cotton.
It comes in 4 different weights; Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.
Sizing includes crib, twin, full and queen.

These prepackaged battings are now in our etsy store and with a special promo shipping price, 5.10!

We have samples made up with these battings so come in and see and feel the difference.

The Quilt Barn also has batting by the bolt (9 yards per bolt) and by the yard.
My new favorite by the yard batting are wool and bamboo. The wool is devine.
Long Arm quilters get special pricing for the 9 yard bolt. As us for details.

Where: The Quilt Barn Classroom.
Cost: 10$ and includes the apron pattern. Sign up to reserve your spot

Fresh Cut Love

I am always drawn to Heather Bailey's fabrics. Her newest line, Freshcut, is so light and happy. Maybe it's because I have 3 girls that I see her fabrics and all the possibilities for them.
Like that stripe. Oh, that stripe. Swoon. I think it needs to be a skirt.  Four of them. My eldest daughter might object to the 4 of all all matchy matchy but I bet my youngest 2 would be on board.

I also need to make a quilt with this line just so I can use the stripe as a binding.
You can find Heather Bailey's blog here. There is also a sweet, free quilt pattern from Heather here.

You can find Freshcut on our etsy store.

Papillon Broken Stars Quilt

I am a big fan of 3 Sisters and their Papillon fabric line doesn't disappoint.
Amy Macklay let us hang her Broken Stars quilt in The Quilt Barn as a display.

She used the pattern Simple Stars Beautiful Quilts by Debbie Maddy for Calico Carriage Quilt Designs

Amy did a great quilting job and the pattern really compliments the quilt. This finished size is 98"X108", a queen.

You can find a kit at our etsy store

We know a lot of you are looking for masculine quilts and, I think,  this fits the bill.

Chevron Sampler Quilt

Heather, and the rest of us here, fell hard for the Cotton Chevron Fat Quarter Bundle by Riley Blake. However, what to do with it? No surprise Heather came up with a fantastic new pattern for it. Isn't it awesome!?

The zig zag binding really compliments this quilt. We last saw this signature quilting on this quilt.

She used a black and white chevron by Robert Kaufman for the binding.
We have kitted a few of these up if you would like to make one too. You can find it on our etsy store or in person at The Quilt Barn.

Love it Heather! Another great quilt and pattern. This one is called Chevron Sampler.

If you would like to add this quilt to your pinboard on Pinterest you can find it on our Quilt Barn Board here.
